Jorge Santos, better known by the pseudonym JrgSnts, was born in Lisbon in 1964. His childhood was divided between East Timor and Mozambique — experiences that profoundly shaped his multicultural spirit and sensitivity to diverse cultural identities.

With his father, an amateur photographer, he developed an interest in capturing unique details and moments.

He works in the field of education and has a diverse academic background, covering areas such as management informatics, school and educational administration, methodologies and technologies in e-learning, distance education and digital technologies, and multimedia in education.

His passion for photography began in adolescence and has remained a constant throughout his life. His images — featured in various publications and exhibitions — reveal the essence of the captured moments in a style that blends reportage with elements of landscape photography, wildlife, nature, human presence, and architecture.

One of his most recognized photographic series is Timor – The Fairytale Island, which captures the natural beauty and cultural richness of East Timor. This series, produced between 2015 and 2017, serves as the basis for a homonymous exhibition.

For Jorge Santos, traveling is an innate necessity, and his passion for photography has led him to explore various places around the world. In each destination, he finds inspiration to create new images that reflect his multicultural perspective and sensitivity to the unique elements of architecture, nature, and local traditions.
